  • NAMSS 2008 Call for Volunteers

    Download Application (PDF)

Calling all fellow NAMSS colleagues... NAMSS needs your professional input in many areas but most especially as Volunteers!

Are you looking to expand your knowledge base? Perhaps you want to become involved, or maybe you want to give back to the organization that has enriched your professional experience. The reason doesn't matter. We all share the same goal when we make the commitment to volunteer for NAMSS... to elevate the status of our professional organization.

There are many opportunities to volunteer your time, and work on initiatives that are of specific interest to you.

The following opportunities are available for the 2009 calendar year:

Audit & Finance Committee - The Audit & Finance Committee is responsible for the review and oversight of NAMSS financial reports, investments and records to ensure the organization's continued viability.

Bylaws Committee - The Bylaws Committee is responsible for the development and/or revision of the Association's Bylaws and subsequent policies and procedures in alignment with the Strategic Plan and Mission.

Certification Commission - The Certification Commission is responsible for the development, and oversight of assessment examinations.

Conference Committee - The Conference Committee is responsible for developing the education program (i.e. topics, speakers) at the NAMSS Annual Conference.

Education Committee - The Education Committee's purpose is to provide educational opportunities for members on topics relevant to current job functions and future career enhancement.

Industry & Government Relations Committee -The Industry & Government Relations Committee is responsible for identifying and maintaining alliances and developing relationships that promote NAMSS and our profession (i.e. the Joint Commission, NCQA, NPDB, etc.).

Membership & Marketing Committee - The Membership & Marketing Committee guides the member retention and recruitment strategies of NAMSS. Recognizing that a strong and active membership base is best achieved by providing services responsive to the needs of our members, it is also the task of this committee to provide guidance and direction to assure that membership and marketing initiatives, products, and services support the needs of our members. The Committee also is seeking a Synergy Assistant Editor to work with the Synergy Editor in reviewing articles that have been submitted for publication to ensure accuracy and readability of information, generate ideas and solicit feature articles, and respond to readers' comments, concerns and questions.

Strategic Planning Committee - The Strategic Planning Committee is responsible for maintaining and refreshing the strategic plan to align with the mission, vision and goals of NAMSS.

Volunteer Development Committee - The Volunteer Development Committee is responsible for identifying future leaders, reviewing volunteer application data, and keeping volunteer performance evaluations.

Volunteers are our greatest asset and together we must continue to build our professional organization. Be NAMSS' next priceless commodity, be a volunteer.

Submit your application for consideration by, Friday May 30, 2008. Please download the application for your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you.
